Cleveland City Stars are the Professional United Soccer Leagues

The Cleveland City Stars are excited to once again partner with Sports Time Ohio for the 2009 USL-1 season. Like last season, STO will televise each City Stars home match. Each home match will be shown on STO on both the night of the game and at least twice during the following week.

The only home matches which will not be shown on STO in 2009 will be the three games being broadcast nationwide on Fox Soccer Channel. These three matches are May 1 versus the Rochester Rhinos, May 22 versus the Carolina RailHawks, and July 3 versus the Austin Aztex.

The STO schedule kicks off with the City Stars match against the defending USL-1 champion Vancouver Whitecaps. The match will be broadcast Monday May 4th at 10:30 p.m. and again Tuesday May 5th at 5 a.m. and Thursday May 7th at noon.

Rod Underwood takes on his former club as the Portland Timbers come to town on May 9th for a 10:30 p.m. showing. The match will re-air Sunday May 10th at 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday May 12th at noon.

The City Stars take on their rivals from Rochester as the Rhinos stampede into Cleveland on June 13th for a 10:30 p.m. showing. The match will be shown again Sunday June 14th at 5 a.m. and Tuesday June 16th at noon.

The Miami FC Blues are next on the schedule for back-to-back matches with the City Stars. The first match will air Thursday June 18th at 10 p.m. with re-airings Friday June 19th at 5 a.m. and Saturday June 20th at noon. The second of the matches will air June 20th at 10 p.m. with re-showings Sunday June 21st at 5 a.m. and Tuesday June 23rd at noon.

The expansion Austin Aztex invade Cleveland for the first time on Saturday June 27th. The match will air Saturday at 10:30 p.m., Sunday June 28th at 5 a.m. and Monday June 29th at noon.

The Puerto Rico Islanders land in Cleveland on Sunday July 12th for a 10 p.m. showing. The match will replay Monday July 13th at noon and Tuesday July 14th at noon.

Next for the City Stars are the Charleston Battery on Thursday July 16th. The match will air that night at 10:30 p.m. and re-air Friday July 17th at noon and Sunday July 19th at noon.

A rematch with the Vancouver Whitecaps is next on Saturday August 1st with the match airing at 10:30 p.m. The replays will take place Sunday August 2nd at 5 a.m. and Tuesday August 4th at noon.

The Montreal Impact come to town August 18th. Broadcast times will be determined.

The Minnesota Thunder storm into Cleveland on Saturday August 22nd for a 10:30 p.m. showing. The rebroadcasts take play Sunday August 23rd at 5 a.m. and Tuesday August 25th at noon.

The Montreal Impact finish off the regular season STO schedule with a match on September 5th at 10:30 p.m. The Montreal match will re-air Sunday September 6th at 5 a.m. and Tuesday September 8th at noon.
